Health Care Services Department
History
Iğdır University Health Services Vocational School was established in 2008 with the decision of the Council of Ministers. In addition, our School of Higher Education Council has completed its installation with the articles dated 23.09.2009 and numbered 30609 and also the articles dated 17.02.2010 and numbered 6587. Health Care Services Department, established within the Vocational School of Health Services, started education in 2011.
Our School of Health Care Services Department has started its current programs in 2011 with the child development program previously built within its own structure. In 2014, the child development program was linked to the Child Care and Youth Services department. The Elderly Care Program, linked to Health Care Services, was opened in 2009. In the 2012 academic year, the elderly care program started to recruit students. In the 2014 academic year, the Elderly Care (BC) Program, the Home Patient Care Program and the Home Patient Care (BC) Program were opened and students were recruited.
The Health Care Services Department, which was established in order to train personnel for the need for the auxiliary healthcare personnel in the healthcare sector, is trained with a knowledgeable and skilled Health Technician in accordance with the conditions of the country and a Associate Degree diploma is given in their programs. In addition to the classrooms of our Vocational School, our students are practicing in Iğdır Public Hospital, Iğdır Public Health Center, Rehabilitation Centers and Family Health Center.
