HOME PATIENT CARE PROGRAM
The aim of Iğdır University Health Vocational School Home Patient Care Program; improving the quality of life of the patient, recognizing the characteristics of the patient, performing daily care, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, organizing the patient room, performing in-bed and out-of-bed exercises, relaxing the patient, removing the patient from the bed, giving medicine to the patient, taking care in special diseases, applying first aid to train educated health personnel who can care for patients. During the 2-year education; Patient Care Principles and Practices, Physical and Social Rehabilitation, Occupation Therapy, Infectious Diseases, as well as elective courses such as Patient Psychology, Professional Ethics, Human Relations, Health Law.
Employment Areas of Graduates: Graduates of the program, Social Services and Child Protection Agency, Municipalities, Hospitals, Non-Governmental Organizations and Private Institutions where patient care services are carried out; They can work in institutions such as nursing homes, elderly nursing homes, day centers for the elderly and patient-oriented practices in health units, home care services, arranging the patient's home, and sheltered residences under the supervision of experts.
