Podology Program
The aim of the program; To train health technicians who will serve for the protection and care of patients' foot health, depending on the diagnosis and treatment of the relevant specialist physician.
In our country, according to the law number 6225 published in the Official Gazette dated 26.4.2011, Podologist graduated from "Vocational Schools Podology Program"; It is a health technician who provides services for the protection and care of the foot health of individuals and performs foot treatment of patients depending on the diagnosis and treatment of the relevant specialist. According to this definition, Health Vocational High Schools as Nursing, Midwifery, Health Officer, etc. Those who graduated from "related" fields such as, and studied in the Podology Program of Health Services Vocational Schools (with an associate degree) can use the title of Podologist.
To take part in podologists' awareness raising activities for foot health and protection, in healthy individuals; Performing medical foot care and training on this subject and depending on the diagnosis and treatment of the relevant specialist physician; nail prosthesis applications, bandages, bandages, finger pads and foot support applications, foot health problems, nail pathologies and calluses to take part in the evaluation, prevention and treatment.
