About the Program
Anesthesia technicians are responsible for the preparation of the patient under the supervision of an anesthesiologist during the operation, follow-up during the surgery, waking up after the surgery and monitoring the patient until he becomes stable.
Our aim is to train knowledgeable and skilled technical staff who will assist the physician in anesthesia work, adopt ethical rules, understand the importance of teamwork, by applying the necessary medical methods to put the patient to sleep in all kinds of surgeries in line with the recommendations of the anesthesiologist.
Education System
During the training period in the Anesthesia Program, students; is trained in line with the curriculum of the course boards. While filling the deficiencies in basic medical sciences such as physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, pharmacology, system diseases, infectious diseases, they increase their knowledge of English with Turkish language and Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution courses. As vocational courses, basic care principles and practices of anesthesia are supported by social activities and elective courses. They do their 2nd year internship in the operating rooms of hospitals (Medical Faculty Hospital, State Hospitals, Private hospitals) under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. While students receive basic English education in the first year, they receive professional English education in the second year. Students are trained as individuals who are strictly adhering to medical ethics and deontological rules, respectful of patient rights, and capable of fulfilling the task at any time and under any condition.
Employment Opportunities for Graduates
Those who successfully complete their education are awarded the "Anesthesia Associate Degree" and "Anesthesia Technician" titles.
With the development of surgical treatment methods and the proliferation of private hospitals, the need for professional staff is increasing.
Anesthesia technicians can easily find a job in any health institution (state hospital, private hospital, maternity hospital, university hospitals, private clinics, etc.) where surgery is performed.
