First and Emergency Aid Program

The aim of the first and emergency aid program is to keep the patient standing and perform emergency intervention until the patient is supported by the health officials in any way.

 

Purpose of the Program

Emergency aid ambulance, patient transport ambulance, air (helicopter and plane) and sea ambulances, other emergency aid vehicles, hospitals, medical centers, etc. To train technicians who can work in all emergency departments where emergency healthcare services are provided and who will constantly update their knowledge and skills in line with the innovations in medicine.

 

What Does a First and Emergency Aid Technician Do?

With the "Emergency Health Services Regulation" published in the Official Gazette dated 11.05.2000 and numbered 24046, the duties of the First and Emergency Aid Technician are as follows:

To make an intravenous intervention.
Using accepted emergency medications and fluids until they reach the hospital.
To apply oxygen therapy.
Performing endotracheal intubation.
To apply monitoring and defibrillation.
Practicing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation.
Ensuring that the patient is ready for transplantation by performing trauma stabilization.
To know and apply appropriate transportation techniques.
In case of emergency delivery

Students who graduate from the First Aid and Emergency Aid program in line with the competencies they have gained;

They are employed in public and private institutions serving in the health sector, universities, emergency services of hospitals, land, air and sea ambulances.
